A New Means of Bringing Home the Bacon
With the economy being at a tipping point in any region in the world, people have become so ingenuous in finding all means in order not to starve to death. Many people have encountered a lot of difficulty in finding a job in this dwindling economy which could actually prove to be even harder than passing through a needle’s hole.
If professionals are racing the track towards job procurement, those who lack the educational background are left in the sidelines trying to make do of whatever possible job they could get.
In Asia, most especially in China, a lot of sweat shops have been sprouting like mushrooms. Generally, the people of the Republic of China are unable to attend formal education from established institutions. This makes their chances in landing a job even slimmer. However, with the advent of technology video games are being played in several countries across the world. While others are on the games for fun, there are also those who are on it to earn a living.
Playing at Work
Many Chinese and Asians at large are busy with online games. It is not just for the heck of having a fun time though. They play the game in order to collect the virtual gold. After their shift, they cash them out with the sweat shop’s manager turning them into real money in order to buy food for their respective families.
This is a new way of bringing home the bacon and a relatively easier one at that. No educational degree is required for you to be employed. All you need is the ability to manipulate the virtual characters. As long as you are equipped with the determination to earn money and the willingness to spend majority of your time being cramped in a narrow space, you are in for the job.
Truly, this is such a sad predicament for those who resort to this line of work. But with the limited options available, most of them are left without a choice. Since this seem to be the only way to go on living, people have resigned to it and have become accepting of the circumstances that fate have brought them.
